Medeco Bottom Pin
Medeco (non-Biaxial) bottom pin.
The V-shaped bottom (at right) allows the key
to rotate the pin so that the sidebar notch
(across the lower half of the pin in this image)
is lined up with the sidebar fingers.
Note the other security features: the serration
near the pin's top (at the right here) and the
shallow false sidebar notch running along the
length of the pin (across the center here).
These locks are very difficult to pick.
Image taken with a Nikon D-100 digital camera with the
85mm f/2.8 macro PC shift/tilt lens, attached to a PB-6
bellows and tripod mount. Note that this image is not
color-corrected.
